From the Petane Vineyard in Eskdale the Pinot Gris fruit is dry-grown and spray free. It was picked in the morning, shipped to New Plymouth and destemmed before being left for an overnight cold-soak to give the wine a copper hue. Pressed into barrel and left on full solids for 4 months. It is a copper-hued wine but not an orange wine with lots of bruised pear and spice.

"Aromas and flavours of red apple and apricots, some quince and white spice. Quite spicy on the palate with a core of fruit and contrasting back palate texture. Some super fine fruit tannins and medium+ acidity. Overall balance and well made with a moderate finish." - Cameron Douglas MS
